HOUSE SUPERVISOR - ADDICTIONS PROGRAM

Part-Time Position: House Supervisor - Addictions Program
20 hours/week - Shift work - Some evenings & weekends.
Reports to: Director of Addiction Services

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to supervise the residents at the Discipleship House – Jericho’s addiction treatment program - and to maintain house and program routines.

Program Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with and supervision of the men in the 9 month residential Addiction program

  • Be attentive to individual client’s stressors and limitations.

  • Give regular updates to Director of Addictions regarding each client’s progress in the addiction program

  • Maintain routines of the program (classes, homework, AA meetings, chores, etc.) and advise Director of Addictions of any necessary adjustments to schedules

  • Encourage and support clients in maintaining a clean house, interior and yard. Report to Director of Addictions any necessary house repairs or maintenance needs.

  • Maintain daily log

  • Dispense daily medications to clients, keep records using MAR sheets, document PRN’s and any med errors, communicate any RX changes and refills with Classic Care pharmacy and with other house staff

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with addiction and mental health issues

  • Knowledge of AA & 12 step recovery programs

  • Valid drivers’ license

2ND STAGE PROGRAM WORKER

Part-time Position: 2nd-Stage Program Worker
20 hours/week - Mornings
Reports To: Director of Operations & 2nd-Stage Program

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide client support (facilitating/supporting/encouraging/empowering of 2nd-stage residents) and to manage house routines and group activities in Jericho’s long term 2nd-stage houses

Key Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with their daily personal checklists and resident-specific contracts; encourage each client towards personal growth and participation in community life

  • Work with the men in each single housekeeping unit to develop routines of chores, house maintenance, menu planning, rotation of food etc. for the health and benefit of all residents in the unit

  • Maintain client files and records, update regularly

  • Medical duties: dispense daily medications, keep records using MAR sheets, communicate Rx changes and refills with pharmacy, track clients’ medical appointments

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with addiction and mental health issues.

  • Valid drivers’ license

  • Knowledge of AA 12 step recovery programs is an asset
